Models and WEST
We are using the operational NWP model of the CMC, the GEM model, as well as the mesoscale model
MC2 of Environment Canada MRB. Our team (COMM) is also in charge of the MC2 as a community
model.
Based on MC2, we have established a toolkit specialized for
the Wind Energy mapping, called WEST (for Wind Energy
Simulation Toolkit). Our results are generally based
on WEST.
