Le projet EOLE de la DRM vise à calculer la climatologie des vents de basse couche limite du Canada pour l'industrie éolienne. La modélisation méso- et micro-échelle est employée à travers un coupleur méso-micro. De plus, une stratégie de mosaique LAM a été développée pour pouvoir calculer un Atlas national. Les progrès réalises durant la derniere année et les défis restants sont exposés.

The EOLE project of MRB aims at computing the climatology of low-level boundary layer winds over Canada for the benefit of the wind energy industry. A meso-micro coupler allows to use properly both meso- and micro-scale modelling. Also a LAM-mosaic strategy was designed to allow the calculation of a national Atlas. Recent progress as well as remaining challenges are presented.
